Sometimes they get stuck together, sometimes they get chewed on, sometimes they get lost, but in the end, they always seem to fit together somehow.

Thanks for all of the comments! The shot is of a bed of hostas as seen through an iron bench ... if the bench had not been there, they would have definitely expanded ... gave some pause for thought! :-)
