Ho, Ho, Ho ...

OK - how many of you thought this was going to be Santa related! HA!!!!! No, no, no ... not "ho, ho, ho ... Merry Christmas"

- but "Ho! Ho! Ho! and a bottle of rum!!!" - "Land Ho!" - and "Arrrrrrr, Matey". Oh wait, that's "Yo, ho, ho ..." whoops - maybe I should cut back on the libations - I'm still celebrating my birthday.

I was going to post this anyway, but since today's Heads or Tails prompt is "Heads: Bottle" - I thought I'd throw this one at the proverbial grand ship.

Cute, eh? Or would that be, Aye?

Yes, I know, it's not "Talk Like a Pirate Day" - HOWEVER ... Santa brought Dominic Pirate Legos for Christmas ... and, as Santa knew our (ok, my) recent plight over the lack of girl Lego-guys, there was a girl pirate included. Upon opening the box, Dominic discovered the Lego girl-pirate, he promptly said, "Mommy, look - it's a girl pirate that you can play with!" And so I did ...

The girl pirate, dubbed "Lolita", was celebrating the holidays (using an upside down telescope as a goblet to drink her wine). Apparently, there were no reserves but she discovered that the soldiers (a.k.a. Scurvy dogs) over at the fort, had a bottle of wine sitting on the table by the map.

So off she went with the band of merry men ... singing "Yo, ho, Yo, ho, a pirates life for me" and the classic, "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum" or was that "ho, ho, ho?" Eager to navigate the high seas, and do some pirating!

The band of pirates, defending Lolita's, um ... honor ... and desire for additional beverage to quench her thirst, raided the fort (along with their trusty sidekick, Captain Bones, the skeleton.

The soldiers, angry, but apparently inept at dealing with the likes of Captain Bones, somehow allowed Lolita to enter the inner sanctum of the fort and grab the wine. Maybe it was her charm and apparent good looks.

And off they went, victorious, in their adorable (I mean, er, swashbucklin' timber of a ship) back to their treasure island ...
